Chapter 2030 - 2033: I Never Really Had Someone I Truly Liked
"Brother Zun, who do you plan to write about? Is it the girl you like?"
Maimai thought, she would wait for Brother Zun to write first. If Brother Zun wrote about the girl he liked, then she couldn’t choose Brother Zun. She didn’t want to be the third wheel, even though it would make her feel sad. But she had a backup plan called Brother Sheng Sheng—or rather, she had many backups. She wouldn’t hold onto Brother Zun stubbornly!
Hmph!
But why did she feel so uncomfortable inside?
It’s the feeling of someone stealing your person.
Maimai suddenly turned fierce: "Why are you hesitating so long? Remember to write me!"
"Why should I write you?" Sheng Sheng had a faint smile, looking at Maimai’s pouty and fierce face, finding it strangely cute. But choosing her? What about his little cousin?
"Hmph, because I’m surely prettier than the girl you like. Aren’t all men fond of beauties? You tasteless guy, you’ll regret it sooner or later!" Maimai huffed, deciding not to write about this annoying guy, and quickly scribbled a few words as if a burden lifted off her shoulders.
Sheng Sheng glanced at her, noticing she had finished writing, and was eager to see whom she wrote about. "Have you finished writing?"
Maimai snorted: "Of course I have, unlike you, so wishy-washy?"
"Who did you write about? Me?" Sheng Sheng asked, a bit smug.
"Of course not you, who would like you, you shameless!" Maimai pressed the little note to her chest, held the wishing bottle, and dashed outside mysteriously.
Sheng Sheng shrugged, hesitating for a while with his pen, finally scribbling a name with flamboyant strokes on the note, folding it, and slipping it into the wishing bottle. He saw Maimai standing under the wishing tree at the doorway.
He went over, and Maimai immediately asked, "Did you finish writing too?"
Sheng Sheng nodded coolly.
"Who did you write?"
"It’s a secret."
Hmph! Maimai mentally snorted, but her face wore a smile: "Brother Zun, tell me, who did you choose?"
Seeing Sheng Sheng not responding, she leaped to grab the wishing bottle from his hand. Sheng Sheng tossed the wishing bottle into a tree hole with precise accuracy, without giving any reply at all.
Maimai stomped her foot in frustration, "Cheapskate."
Sheng Sheng, however, took the opportunity to snatch the wishing bottle from her hand: "If you’re not stingy, then let me see whom you wrote about."
Maimai was instantly anxious, almost as if fighting for her life: "Give it back to me, don’t look! Brother Zun, if you open it, it’s over between us. If you open it, it won’t come true. Give it back to me!"
The next second, Sheng Sheng made another accurate shot, throwing her wishing bottle in as well.
Maimai yelped.
Sheng Sheng looked down: "What?"
"I hadn’t made up my mind yet; I was thinking of rewriting it."
"It’s just a wish, is there a need to be so serious?" Sheng Sheng pulled her hand, dragging her inside: "Since you made a choice, don’t regret it. Your hesitance shows you don’t truly like anyone.
"Really?" Maimai looked up with questioning eyes, and Sheng Sheng nodded confidently.
Maimai pouted, saying: "I didn’t really have anyone I truly liked. I like many people, and I want to have them all because I’m still young, and the future is full of possibilities. I’m not yet at the age to date."
