Chapter 31 Sasuke and Naruto
Chapter 31 Sasuke and Naruto
Obito still couldn't muster the courage to go see Naruto with Kakashi.
He knew very well that the child was the teacher's orphan, and seeing Naruto would only intensify the lingering guilt and unease in his heart.
He could fight against the entire ninja world, but he couldn't face Minato Namikaze's child. That wound was too deep to be easily confronted or touched.
After a long silence, Obito finally decided to go to Konoha Hospital alone.
He had other things to deal with, and besides, that boy named Uchiha Sasuke was also a very important part of his plan.
Night fell over Konoha Hospital, and all was silent.
Inside the hospital room, Uchiha Sasuke had already woken up.
He sat quietly on the hospital bed, staring blankly at the empty ceiling, his hands unconsciously clenching the sheets.
The horrific scene from that night kept replaying in my mind: the entire street stained red with the blood of my clansmen, and Itachi Uchiha's cold and expressionless face, like a nightmare I couldn't shake off.
He couldn't understand how his respected and admired brother could do such a horrific thing.
His confusion and doubts gradually transformed into uncontrollable anger and hatred.
Why...why do this?
Just as Sasuke was deeply mired in pain and hatred, a black shadow suddenly appeared without warning in the shadows of the ward.
"Uchiha Sasuke..."
A deep, cold voice abruptly broke the silence in the room.
Sasuke was startled and snapped back to reality, looking warily at the dark figure in the corner of the room.
"Who are you?"
Obito slowly emerged from the shadows, revealing his impressive swirling mask.
He looked down at the young boy on the bed, his Sharingan gleaming with a deep, crimson light.
"My name is Uchiha Madara."
Obito's tone was calm, yet carried an irresistible pressure...
"I am the only person in this world who can help you take revenge."
"Help me...get revenge?"
Obito stared directly at him, his eyes icy yet possessing a seductive power: "Isn't your wish to kill Uchiha Itachi and avenge your clan?"
Upon hearing Itachi's name, Sasuke's eyes suddenly sharpened, and he almost immediately wanted to blurt out the fact.
But strangely, just as he was about to speak...
An invisible and eerie force, as if rising from the depths of his heart, stopped him from continuing.
What is that power...?
Sasuke froze, remaining silent for a long time before finally raising his head and asking in an extremely serious tone, "Can you really make me stronger?"
Obito's eyes behind the mask were even darker and deeper.
He was a little surprised that Sasuke didn't answer his question, but Obito didn't seem to care...
"certainly."
Obito, landing slowly, walked step by step towards Sasuke...
"If you stay in Konoha, no one will teach you how to use the Sharingan correctly, and no one will tell you how to fight against Itachi's Mangekyou Sharingan."
"In this world, only I can truly help you achieve your wish."
Sasuke looked at the mysterious person in front of him...
He had no idea what this mysterious man, who called himself Madara Uchiha, wanted, but the burning flames of revenge deep within him had made him forget to consider any other possibilities.
His heart was filled with a strong desire to become stronger, because only by becoming stronger could he personally seek justice from Itachi Uchiha.
"I'll go with you."
He reached out his hand, gesturing for Sasuke to get off the bed: "Then come with me and leave this place. From today onwards, you will be completely free from the shackles of this village."
Without the slightest hesitation, Sasuke immediately got up from his sickbed. He was still somewhat confused, but his desire for revenge had overwhelmed all doubts.
He took a step forward and resolutely walked towards the hand reaching out from the darkness.
The night in Konoha was deep and quiet, with only the occasional bark of a dog, which sounded particularly clear.
Kakashi arrived at the small house where Naruto Uzumaki lived, and stood silently in the shadows not far away, quietly watching the simple and lonely little house.
He patiently observed Naruto's daily life.
From the moment Naruto pushed open the door and excitedly ran towards the familiar Ichiraku Ramen on the street, to his journey back...
Encountering malicious insults and ridicule from villagers on the street, Kakashi observed for a full hour, making the heaviness in his heart increasingly indescribable.
Kakashi was not unaware of Naruto's marginalized situation in the village as a Jinchūriki, but in the past, he always subconsciously chose to avoid these facts and turn a blind eye.
It wasn't until this moment, until he witnessed firsthand what his teacher's child was going through in the village, that he finally understood the hardship and pain in Naruto's heart.
That figure walked alone through the village streets, a forced smile on his face, but unable to hide the faint sadness and loneliness in his eyes.
Teacher... I didn't realize your child was in such a difficult situation...
When Naruto finally returned home, Kakashi hesitated for a moment before quietly approaching the half-open door.
He saw Naruto casually take a bottle of obviously expired milk from the refrigerator, and nonchalantly unscrew the cap, ready to drink it.
"Don't drink the expired milk."
"what!"
Naruto was startled by the sudden appearance of the figure and turned around in a panic...
"Who are you? How did you get in?"
Kakashi stared silently at Naruto's dazed expression, without immediately answering Naruto's question.
She sighed softly, took out the fresh milk she had just bought at the supermarket from her pocket, and walked towards Naruto's refrigerator.
Kakashi frowned as he opened the refrigerator. Most of the food inside was cheap, discounted items that were about to expire, and some had even long passed their expiration date.
I casually put the fresh milk I had just bought into the container, and then took out the expired food items.
"Don't eat expired food, it can easily make you sick."
Kakashi calmly instructed as he threw the expired food into the trash can.
"Hey! Who are you?"
"How dare you just barge into someone else's house!"
Kakashi didn't answer him, but simply turned around and looked at Naruto quietly.
At that moment, the Sharingan began to operate rapidly...
Compared to Naruto, the Nine-Tails inside him seems less friendly...
Coming to his senses, Kakashi continued tidying up the expired food.
After dealing with everything, Kakashi patted his hands lightly and then walked over to pat Naruto on the shoulder.
"Be careful next time, and don't eat these things anymore."
Before Naruto could ask any more questions, Kakashi walked out of the room.
His figure gradually disappeared into the night, leaving Naruto standing there, staring at the door with a face full of doubt and confusion.
As soon as Kakashi stepped out of Naruto's house, he sensed two familiar presences rapidly approaching, and two Anbu ninjas silently appeared in front of him.
"senior..."
One of the secret agents sounded rather hesitant...
"Your contact with a Jinchūriki like this is probably..."
Kakashi waved his hand gently before they could finish speaking, indicating that they didn't need to be nervous.
"I understand your concerns. I will personally explain this to the Hokage."
The two secret agents exchanged a glance, visibly relieved, and replied in unison, "Yes!"
In fact, they all understood that if it were any other ninja, such unauthorized contact with the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki would undoubtedly be an extremely serious incident.
But for Kakashi, the situation is clearly different.
After all, he was a student of the Fourth Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and his status and position were special. He was one of the most trusted and valued ninjas in the Hokage lineage.
Even if the Hokage knew about this, he would only turn a blind eye and tacitly approve of his actions.
Moreover, Kakashi's actions were clearly out of concern and care for Naruto, not out of malice.
After the Anbu left, Kakashi looked up at Naruto's window again.
Naruto was clearly seen peeking out of the window, his face full of confusion and surprise, clearly still bewildered by what had just happened.
"Hey, big brother, who are you?"
"Anyway, don't drink expired milk. I'll buy you some new food tomorrow."
"What...?"
but...
As a Jinchūriki, Naruto's cheerfulness is a bit too much...
