Chapter 181 Lord Grindelwald
Chapter 181 Lord Grindelwald
Chapter 181 Lord Grindelwald
"I should—I should be ready—" Loila pondered for a long time before offering this ambiguous suggestion.
Dumbledore nodded slightly upon hearing this: "That would be wonderful."
"Shall we go there in a bit?"
"Wait a minute—shall we go?" Loila's eyes widened and she slammed her hand on the table. Don't talk about something this important as if it's nothing more than going to Hogsmeade to buy honey!
And—and we'll be going in a bit?
I need to prepare, not only physically but also mentally—I'm a little nervous about this sudden rush—
Ah, I'm already getting a little nervous!
Why are you suddenly being so agreeable? I thought you'd make up all sorts of excuses!
Loila lowered her head, her face pale, and her ears twitched nervously again.
Seeing her ears twitching, Dumbledore seemed to understand her feelings, and he smiled slightly: "Don't be afraid, Miss Hamilton."
"I'll go with you."
I don't feel good at all!
Seeing Royla remain silent, Dumbledore thought for a few seconds and then said, "If you need to prepare."
"Is tomorrow okay?"
Tomorrow—is tomorrow a little too close?—Loila felt she needed at least seven or eight days to prepare—seven or eight days might not be enough, maybe seven months—wouldn't that be too long?
No, no—I need to be more determined—if I can't be more determined, Loila clenched her fists, took a deep breath, and decided to overcome her tendency to run away from things.
"Tomorrow—tomorrow, perhaps?" Loila whispered, "Tomorrow morning!"
Dumbledore smiled slightly. "How about you rest for a few more days?"
"For example, prepare for seven or eight days, or something like that."
"No, no!" Loila quickly shook her head and refused Dumbledore's temptation—that old guy was never up to any good!
If I say any more, I'll definitely run away!
Seeing Loila shake her head, Dumbledore smiled but said nothing more, instead turning his attention back to the chessboard.
Before long, Loila covered her head and looked at Dumbledore, smiling as she got up.
"It was a pleasure to speak with you this morning." Dumbledore seemed to enjoy it, stroking his white beard with a smile. "How are you feeling, Miss Hamilton?"
"Haha—I'm so happy too—" Loila's gaze was still on the chessboard; she was pondering how Dumbledore had won—
Could he have cheated? Did he secretly use a Confusion Charm or something—or is there some hidden magic circle on this Wizarding Chess set that makes Dumbledore's pieces stronger?
Seeing that Loila was still staring at the chessboard, Dumbledore shrugged and walked away.
Hearing the office door close softly, Loila pursed her lips and looked at her cuffs.
"Nagini!" she called out Miss Nagini's name with a slight sob in her voice. As her sleeve twitched slightly, Miss Nagini emerged.
"Alright, don't be nervous, Loila." Miss Nagini transformed back into human form and gently patted Loila's head. "It's just a trip to see Grindelwald."
"Huh?" Loila paused for a moment and shook her head: "No—it's not about Grindelwald—"
'
"It's...it's Wizard Chess."
"Huh?" Now it was Nagini's turn to be stunned. She looked at Loila's tearful eyes in surprise, not knowing what to do.
"Dumbledore—I—" Loila muttered, biting her lip, "He's really good at chess—"
'
"Ah—" Nagini carefully chose her words, then said, "I feel that Headmaster Dumbledore's level—"
'
"There's still a lot of room for improvement." She said, recalling the match she had just seen—she had to admit, the last time she saw such a high-quality match, she was still a novice.
"Is that so?" Loila sat frozen in her chair as if struck by lightning, unable to accept that her seemingly invincible opponent was actually a terrible chess player.
"Alright, let's not think about Wizard Chess for now," Nagini said, gently smoothing Loila's hair. "You're going to see Grindelwald tomorrow."
"Did you have a grudge against him in the past?"
"Ah—yes—yes," Loila said, her voice lacking confidence.
"I don't get along with him either," Nagini said softly, lowering her voice. "Should we... kill him?"
"Hmm!"
Loila shook her head violently, only to bump her head into Nagini's head.
After a loud "bang!", both of them covered their heads and squatted down.
"I'm so sorry," Loila said, trembling. "I'm just a little... a little surprised."
"It's nothing—ouch—" Nagini groaned, clutching her head. "Your head is so hard—"
"Maybe it's because—I often get hit on the head—"
He got beaten up by Muller at Durmstrang, by Lord Grindelwald at Nurmengard, and now at Hogwarts he keeps bumping into other people.
"But why are you reacting so strongly—I remember Grindelwald made you fall into a deep sleep for so long?" Miss Nagini asked slowly, rubbing her head. "Or—do you have other ideas?"
"No—ah—no, it's not that either—" Loila thought for a long time, and finally used Dumbledore as a shield: "Dumbledore is still with us—we can't make a move—"
"And Nagini—Dumbledore won't allow—you to go." Dumbledore had spoken to Royla about this before, and it seemed he only wanted to take Royla with him.
After all, Lord Grindelwald's current status doesn't seem suitable for a large group of people to see him—he's not some kind of magical creature—
"I see... Then can you do it?"
"It should—it should be possible—" Loila clenched her fist, saying somewhat hesitantly, "It definitely—it definitely is possible!"
It seems unlikely to work out—Nagini felt he could already picture Royla being brought back by Dumbledore after she fainted—
I've seen this scene quite a few times already —
"Ah—right." As if remembering something, Nagini coughed and asked, "What do you think of Headmaster Dumbledore's suggestion?"
"proposal?"
"It's about the professor of magic arrays—"
"No, no, no!" Loila shook her head violently again; she simply didn't have that ability.
I'm just a novice magic array expert—even my father isn't at that level—
Perhaps Mr. PH could do it... but I'd better not... and besides... Loila thought about how all the students seemed to know what she looked like.
I felt like I didn't have the courage to stand in front of the students anymore.
Ah—things have gotten so busy lately—Lord Grindelwald—Tomorrow's meeting—the meeting—
Will it go smoothly?
Looking out the office window at the bright sunshine, Loila didn't know what to do.
