Approximately 25 jin of corn seeds and 20 jin of wheat.
Approximately ten pounds each of miscellaneous grains such as soybeans, peanuts, and mung beans.
Common varieties such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, eggplants, cabbage, spinach, and radishes are available in five to ten bottles (bags) of each.
There were also seeds of cash crops such as cotton, as well as seeds of flowers and medicinal herbs, totaling two full boxes.
Six heavy, sealed plastic boxes were placed in front of Han Ning.
These are experimental seeds; they won't be sold in large bags like in stores.
In addition, there were four boxes containing various experimental supplies.
Those bulky instruments can't be moved, but some small experimental tools can be taken along.
This makes experiments more convenient.
With so many seeds, he'll have enough to study for quite some time.
Han Ning waved his hand, signaling several students to help carry the boxes, and said, "Go back."
With their objective achieved, everyone returned to their dormitory.
Although they didn't loot any convenience stores or small supermarkets along the way, the strongest monster had already been defeated by Han Ning, and aside from the initial shock, everyone was in a pretty good mood.
Inside the dormitory building.
Han Ning gestured for the students to place the box next to him, and said to Zou Yu:
"As agreed, you should send an expert who is proficient in agronomy."
Zou Yu nodded and said in a deep voice to the back of the crowd, "Professor Ye, please come over here for a moment."
The crowd parted slightly, and a middle-aged man in his fifties with dark skin and the marks of time etched on his face stepped out.
Zou Yu explained:
"This is Professor Ye Yuan, a senior professor in our college of agriculture. He specializes in crop genetics and breeding and cultivation techniques. He also has profound expertise in soil improvement and integrated pest management. He is a true expert in the relevant fields."
While Zou Yu was making his introduction, Han Ning was already sizing up Professor Ye.
The other person's dark, rough skin and calm demeanor were indeed very much in line with his image of an agricultural expert who had spent years working in the fields.
"Professor Ye, are you an ordinary person?" Han Ning nodded slightly and asked casually.
"Hmm." Professor Ye nodded.
Han Ning did not dwell on whether the other party was an Awakened One.
His goal was not to find a fighting partner.
Researching crops generally doesn't require much expertise.
Having the ability to awaken is best, but not having it is fine too.
"To ensure you keep your promise and to prevent any unnecessary misunderstandings, Ms. Su will need to accompany me temporarily until I confirm that Professor Ye truly possesses the skills and knowledge I require."
He glanced at Su Mingke beside him.
"Once I've confirmed everything is correct, I'll naturally let her return safely."
"You!" Zou Yu's expression changed.
"Teacher Su." Several anxious whispers rang out from the crowd.
Before these people could react.
Two vines suddenly shot out from in front of Han Ning and wrapped around Professor Ye and Su Mingke's waists.
"What are you doing?" Su Mingke instinctively tried to struggle, but the force from the vines made her unable to move.
Professor Ye appeared unusually calm, his body slightly tense, letting the vines entwine him.
Han Ning grabbed Professor Ye, who was being pulled closer by the vines, with one arm and the struggling Su Mingke with the other. The remaining vines wrapped around the box next to him, and with a few twists and turns, he leaped down the stairs.
"Teacher Su (Mingke)!" "Professor Ye!"
"Stop him!"
"stop!"
Zou Yu and several other quick-reacting Awakened exclaimed in surprise and instinctively wanted to chase after them.
Several awakened individuals rushed to the stairwell entrance, looking out at the torrential rain and murky water, but there was no trace of Han Ning and the other two.
"Asshole!"
"Brother Zou, what should we do?" Someone asked anxiously, their eyes red as they looked at Zou Yu, whose face was ashen.
"Chase after him! We can't let him take Professor Su and Professor Ye away!" someone said emotionally.
"Where are you going? Do you even know where he went?!" another person's voice was filled with despair.
The hallway was in complete chaos.
Zou Yu clenched his fists so tightly his knuckles turned white, his chest heaving violently, his eyes fixed on the direction where Han Ning had disappeared, his gaze filled with struggle.
"Brother Zou, hurry up and make a decision, or we won't be able to catch up!" his companion urged anxiously.
Zou Yu closed his eyes and took a deep breath.
A few seconds later, he opened his eyes, which had returned to calm.
He turned around, facing pairs of eyes with varying expressions, and said:
"never mind!"
"Forget it?" Everyone looked at him in disbelief.
"Everyone has seen the strength of that monster. We can't stop it at all... If we rush out and clash with it, we'll just be throwing our lives away and causing even more casualties."
He paused for a moment, then his voice suddenly rose in pitch.
"The only thing we can do now is to become stronger. Only by becoming stronger than him can we protect the people we want to protect, survive in this messed-up world, and have the right to talk about the future!"
……
"Pretending to be something they're not."
Outside the building, Han Ning controlled the vines, lifting several boxes into the air. He glanced back at the dormitory building and couldn't help but smile.
He just walked right past those people in broad daylight.
They clearly had time to stop it, and they all pretended to be very anxious, but in reality, not one of them dared to move an inch.
"It seems your partner doesn't want to save you," Han Ning said with a smile.
Su Mingke pursed her lips, turned her head away, and didn't say anything.
"Hehe." Professor Ye shook his head and gave a wry smile.
Han Ning, along with Professor Ye, Su Mingke, and the dozen or so heavy boxes, returned to the moored "Wind Chaser" sailboat.
He deftly lifted the seed boxes one by one onto the deck.
Upon seeing this, Xu Ming, Yu Na, and Xue Bing, who were on the boat, quickly came over to help.
Then, with Professor Ye and Su Mingke in his arms, they climbed over the ship's side and landed steadily on the wet deck.
"Boss, come back..." Xu Ming stopped mid-sentence.
His gaze fell on the dark-skinned, composed older man and the young woman with a pale face beside Han Ning, and finally he looked at Han Ning with a puzzled expression: "Who...who are these two?"
Han Ning didn't explain, but simply instructed, "We'll talk about it when we get back. Put the things somewhere dry. Old Xu, set sail."
Although Xu Ming was full of questions, his boss's instructions were the highest priority.
He nodded immediately: "Yes, boss!"
He then strode to the helm, started the auxiliary diesel engine, and called to Yu Na to help retrieve the temporarily lowered anchor.
"Woo~"
The deep whistle sounded again, piercing through the rain.
The "Wind Chaser" slowly turned its bow, leaving the shallow waters where the Agricultural and Forestry University was located, and sailed back into the relatively open deep-water channel, cutting through the waves towards the Biyun Resort.

Chapter 76 Professor Ye's Guidance
"Boat……"
Professor Ye and Su Mingke stood on the deck, looking around at the space filled with all kinds of supplies, their faces showing surprise.
While they were still struggling to find food and shelter, this man had already found a boat and was preparing to evacuate.
For a moment, the two felt conflicted.
On the other side, Xu Ming maneuvered the sailboat to avoid obstacles along the way, and the speed was much faster than when he came.
The Agricultural and Forestry University is several kilometers away from Biyun Resort, and with the need to carefully navigate the detour and avoid underwater obstacles, it will take some time.
Speechless all the way.
"Boss, we're almost there." After a while, Xu Ming's voice came from the driver's seat.
Han Ning looked up.
It was observed in a relatively deep body of water, near the Biyun Resort and not close to the fog.
A dozen or so boats of varying sizes were scattered around, belonging to the fleet led by Chairman Wu.
Some figures wearing raincoats were paddling small boats or even swimming, transporting supplies from the boats toward the resort little by little.
