Chapter 75 Whisky Peak
Chapter 75 Whisky Peak
Minos ignored the group's little antics. He noticed them leaving, but did nothing about it.
The villagers were still enthusiastically telling Minos about the hospitality of their Cactus Island, unaware that their companion had quietly left.
Minos soon arrived at the town center, where many people came out to greet him.
Minos was very pleased; this was wonderful.
However, there were still people secretly watching this bizarre scene.
"Damn it, can you believe it! Minos actually came to this wretched little island."
"Boss, doesn't that look like the Fifth Emperor Minos?" a bounty hunter asked uncertainly, trembling.
“I saw it, that guy really is Minos,” the leader of the group said, trembling with fear.
"What should we do? We can't afford to offend him! Otherwise, we're doomed," another bounty hunter said fearfully.
"Ignore him. Tell the people in town to let Minos eat and drink to his heart's content on the island. Don't take his money. Make sure not to provoke him," the bounty hunter leader ordered.
"Yes, boss. I'll give the order." With that, the bounty hunter disappeared into the shadows.
Minos was then taken around the island, which was quite strange to him. It was unbelievable that he, King Minos, would be traveling with these villagers.
But thinking about how much kill points I'll have later, I felt happy.
These villagers seem very kind now, but they show their true colors at night.
So, it's perfectly reasonable for King Minos to clean up this kind of scum in the One Piece world, right? (◣_◢)
After the villagers had shown Minos around for a long time, they took him to the inn.
As Minos entered the inn, he felt many eyes on him. This made Minos smile; were these people about to begin?
"Hehe, then he won't be polite," Minos thought happily.
However, Minos waited for a long time, but no one came to cause trouble. Instead, he found himself surrounded by all kinds of food and drink.
Minos was quite annoyed by this, but when he looked closely at those people, he found that their expressions were very unnatural and they were very frightened.
They trembled and became even more afraid when their eyes were on them.
"So that's how it is," Minos thought to himself. "These people clearly know his identity, which is why they don't dare to cause him any trouble."
"Oh dear, this is putting me in a difficult position!" Minos sighed helplessly.
"If you do this, I won't be able to make a move?" Minos looked at this bizarre scene.
Minos admits he is a villain, but only under certain conditions.
But these so-called hunters didn't cause him any trouble; instead, they treated him to good food and drink.
Although they dare not act recklessly because they are afraid of me, isn't that a powerful deterrent?
Minos watched this scene quietly, finding it a very difficult situation to handle.
Killing does grant kill points, but is it really necessary for me in my current state?
"Fine, let it go this time. This is his final act of mercy," Minos sighed inwardly.
Minos was free; he could do whatever he wanted. If he didn't want to do something, he wouldn't do it.
Having figured things out, Minos ate a little something, got up, and turned to leave, afraid he might lose control and throw a regular punch at the hunters.
"Um, Minos seems to have left, right?" one bounty hunter asked uncertainly.
They survived like that. Didn't Minos love killing?
"Great, he's finally gone. You wouldn't believe it, the moment he got up, my heart felt like it stopped beating," another bounty hunter said in horror.
"It's good that he's gone. We must be more careful in the future and not randomly pull people away," another bounty hunter said fearfully.
……
Minos walked along the town's streets, looking at the brightly lit scene, and felt an urge to roar. (⌒▽⌒)
But Minos convinced himself that it was time to leave, and that he should consider this his final act of goodwill towards the people of the pirate world!
Minos quickly arrived at the yacht and leaped directly onto it.
At the same time, the gentle voice of the smart home assistant sounded.
Welcome, Master.
"Smart Butler, please search how long it takes to get from here to Alabasta," Minos said calmly.
"Yes, Master." Searching.
Minos gazed silently at the starry sky, which was almost dark.
"Master, we've located it. It will take 10 days to get from here to Alabasta," the intelligent assistant said gently.
"Is that so? Then let's move forward at top speed!" Minos said coldly.
"Yes, Master. It's accelerating at full speed. Please get ready, the smart butler is about to speed up."
Minos remained silent, continuing to gaze at the sky, which was growing increasingly dark.
Ding! What's wrong with you, host? Why are you so indecisive? This is not what the system expected of you!
Minos was speechless when he heard the system's joking remark.
"It's nothing, I'm just feeling a little complicated," Minos said calmly.
Ding, is the host still resentful about letting those bounty hunters go?
Minos remained silent; he was reluctant to acknowledge the facts presented by the system.
Ding! If this is what's causing you to feel unhappy, then you really aren't strong at all.
Minos remained silent, listening quietly to the system.
Ding. Since you've let them go, there's no need to dwell on it. Just follow your heart.
*Ding*, host. You have always been free; nothing has bound you.
"Yeah? Why worry about it! If I really don't want to let them go, I can just go back and unleash a Black Dragon's Roar and that will solve everything."
"I've already let them go in my heart. So I shouldn't dwell on it," Minos thought to himself.
for a long time.
"Hmph, damn system, I, Minos, am not that fragile!" Minos retorted, having figured things out.
Ding! Dog host! This system was worried you wouldn't be actively acquiring kill points!
"How could this be? I, Minos, am determined to become a god, how can I stop here?" Minos shouted loudly in the night sky.
Ding! Host, could you kill more pirates or marines to gain more kill points?
"Uh, system! We have to meet it!" Minos said helplessly.
Ding! Alabasta looks pretty good.
“Old Sand? That’s a good idea.” Minos grinned wickedly.
“Smart assistant, call me when we get to Alabasta!” Minos said firmly.
“Yes, Master,” the smart butler said gently.
……
P.S.: This chapter can be considered a psychological change process for Minos! We often don't know how to make a choice when faced with difficulties, and Minos was no exception.
P.S.: So all we need to do is choose the voice in our hearts; that's the right choice. (⌒▽⌒)
P.S.: So five chapters today. (⌒▽⌒)
