Chapter 157 A Little Confused
Chapter 157 A Little Confused
"Kakashi, can I ask you a gossip question?" As they approached the front door, Uchiha Yoh finally couldn't help but ask.
"Okay." Kakashi nodded, though he looked a little puzzled.
"Ahem..." Uchiha Ye cleared his throat, "So... um... do you like Obito or Rin?"
She even gave me a look that said this question was very important to me, which left Kakashi speechless. What on earth was she thinking?
Kakashi gazed intently at her, brushed a strand of hair from her forehead, and placed a kiss on it. "Yo, this is my answer."
"????"
"What's going on? This wasn't one of the options she asked for!" Uchiha Ye said, completely bewildered. "Wouldn't this count as her being sexually harassed?"
Should we slap him?
"Let's just pretend it never happened. Anyway, it's not like we kissed through the mask." With that thought, Uchiha Ye felt a sense of relief.
No, no, is this the point?
The key question is why she didn't seem to mind at all. Is she really that awful?
Uchiha Ye said "Goodnight" in a somewhat flustered tone, then opened the door and went home, closing the door behind him.
"She should understand what he means!" Kakashi stared intently at the door for a long time before going upstairs and returning home.
Back home, Uchiha Yoru regretted her actions. Compared to Kakashi, she still preferred Itachi a little more.
Uchiha Yoh composed himself and resolved to make things clear the next time he saw Kakashi.
She hadn't been back here in a long time, and the house was covered in dust. She used a spell to instantly make it look brand new.
With three days of rest left, Uchiha Yoh already had a plan in mind.
Konoha Maruko Shop.
"Sister Hongdou, this bouquet of glutinous rice balls is to congratulate you on your promotion to Special Jonin." Uchiha Ye originally wanted to make 999 of them, but these glutinous rice balls can only be kept for a day at most, and Hongdou can't eat that many at once.
So she rolled money under each glutinous rice ball, which was perfect; she could buy nine thousand of them.
"Ye, I love this gift so much. I knew I saved you all those times for nothing." Anko put her arm around Uchiha Ye's shoulder and said this shamelessly.
She was also taken aback by Hongdou's shamelessness, "Who saved whom here?!"
Having escaped the clutches of the red bean demon, Uchiha Yoru used the 'Flying Thunder God Technique' to arrive at a hidden research lab.
"Orochimaru-sensei, you really are here!"
Upon hearing this, Orochimaru was speechless. He had clearly left the Flying Thunder God mark on him, and it was indeed here.
"What do you want from me? You're not after my things again, are you?" Orochimaru stopped what he was doing and asked.
"Teacher, what do you think I am? I came here purely to see you," she said, her face quite sad.
"Don't give me that crap, I know what you're like!" Orochimaru glanced at her with a knowing look on his face.
"..."
Uchiha Ye was speechless. He should have known better than to take so much advantage of others, only to be misunderstood like this.
She paused for a moment before asking, "Teacher, your first-generation cells are cultured quite well, could you...?"
"boom..."
A loud slam of the door slamming shut made her ears ring. She never imagined she'd be thrown out by Orochimaru-sensei. "Being a good disciple is really hard!"
She muttered something to herself, and the next second she disappeared from the spot.
Orochimaru then noticed a thick file on the table. Upon opening it, he found it contained exactly what he needed. "It seems I really misunderstood her this time."
"Where to next?" Uchiha Ye asked, resting his chin on his hand. "Let's go see Naruto."
"Kiba, Choji, Shikamaru, Sasuke..."
"This isn't right, how come they're all playing together? Isn't the timeline a bit too early?" She leaned against the corner wall, not going out to disturb them.
Out of the corner of her eye, Uchiha Ye caught sight of a timid-looking little girl not far from her. "Isn't that Hinata?" she exclaimed. Her shy demeanor was indeed quite adorable.
She followed Hinata's gaze and, just as she had expected, saw Hinata peeking at Naruto.
In the end, Uchiha Ye did not go forward to disturb them. He left a lot of snacks in one spot, left a note, and quietly left.
Naruto, these are snacks your sister prepared for you. Go and share them with your friends.
Naruto searched everywhere after seeing the note, but couldn't find Uchiha Hato. He hadn't seen Hato-neechan for a long time, and he missed her terribly.
Naruto's friends all found their favorite flavors among the pile of snacks. "Could this be a coincidence?" A little boy with a pineapple-shaped haircut wondered.
When Sasuke learned that Naruto hadn't seen Ye-chan, he offered words of comfort, but he was secretly overjoyed.
Two days ago, Sister Ye had dinner at his house and played with him for a while, but unfortunately, Sister Ye still treated him like a child. "No, he has to work hard to cultivate and defeat Onii-san."
Upon arriving at the Hyuga clan's territory, Uchiha Ha went straight to the cake shop and bought several different flavors.
"Judging by the time, Neji should be starting his studies at the Ninja Academy this year. I wonder if he's home or not."
She skillfully used her 'transformation technique' to climb onto the wall and looked towards Neji's house. "He doesn't seem to be home?"
The next instant, Uchiha Hato landed steadily in the courtyard.
"Put the cake here, it'll be very conspicuous, Neji will see it as soon as he gets home."
After putting her things away, she turned around and was met with a pair of glares that made her heart skip a beat. "Neji, you're home!"
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to come uninvited. I'll leave now."
"Ye, don't go. Can you stay and keep me company?" Neji's tone carried a hint of pleading.
Upon hearing this, Uchiha Ye stopped, his foot halting as he had just taken a step. "Okay."
The two sat on the veranda without speaking, yet their silence spoke volumes. If one didn't see Uchiha Yoru's sleeping face, they would indeed appear to be talking.
Neji didn't care about that; he only knew that with her by his side, all the grievances in his heart were nothing.
"I haven't been asleep for long!" Uchiha Ye suddenly woke up and asked Hyuga Neji, who was standing next to him.
"Not long, only about two hours!" Neji said truthfully.
"This..." Uchiha Ye was speechless. She had agreed to sit with someone, but she ended up falling asleep. It was true that being too idle made her sleepy. She quickly found an excuse for herself.
She pouted and asked, "Neji, are you feeling better now?"
From the moment she saw Neji, she sensed that something was off about him. She wanted to leave him alone, but to her surprise, he asked her to stay.
"I'm fine." Neji looked at her and gave her a reassuring look.
"Then why is there a bandage on your forehead? Are you injured?" Uchiha Ye pointed to his forehead, a bad feeling creeping into his heart.
"Oh, I accidentally fell down today," Neji came up with a very lame excuse.
"Has anyone ever told you that you're not good at lying? I know some medical ninjutsu, can I take a look?" She pouted, her tone seemingly asking, but she was quite domineering and directly took action.
