Chapter 154 Harry and Lucius's First Meeting

Chapter 154 Harry and Lucius's First Meeting

"Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Mr. Gilderoy Lockhart." Just as we were chatting, Gilderoy Lockhart came out from behind the pile of books.

Hermione and Mrs. Weasley, who were chatting, looked over when they heard the shop assistant mention Gilderoy Lockhart's arrival.

I also blocked Harry's way at the same time; I didn't really want Ruhart to see Harry.

“Mom, I love him so much,” Ron and Harry explained, this was their son’s complaint.

"Excuse me, thank you, let me through. I'm from the Daily Prophet, thank you." A wizard with a camera walked past us and started snapping pictures of Lockhart.

But I must say, Lockhart's work is truly amazing. Every move she makes is like something out of a movie, and every candid shot is a perfect cover pose.

Fortunately, although Harry's name is very famous in the wizarding world, he was affected by my butterfly and didn't have that lightning bolt scar.

And luckily, I intentionally stood in front of him, so Lockhart didn't grab me to take pictures.

While Lockhart recounted his great achievements, I looked around aimlessly.

Then I looked up and was face to face with Draco. I smiled at Draco.

"Come and sign this," Lockhart finally finished his usual self-praise.

"Why don't you all go outside and wait for us? Ginny, Hermione, and I will take care of buying the textbooks." Mrs. Weasley could tell that boys didn't have the willpower to wait that long, so she decided to let the three of us go out and have some fun first.

"Then I'll trouble you, Mrs. Weasley. Here, please take this and help us get the books we need. This is my book list, and this bag contains Galleons. You can put all the textbooks you've bought in there." I handed Mrs. Weasley a small bag that looked a bit like a traditional Chinese sachet.

"Oh, Ayers, what's this called? It's so cute." Mrs. Weasley took the little purse and looked at it curiously.

"Mrs. Weasley, after you buy the books for me, you can take this little bag to carry your things. It has space magic inside and can hold quite a lot of things." This little bag was originally intended as a gift for Mrs. Weasley; it was just an excuse to get her to use Galleons to buy books. She had more Galleons than she could ever use.

As I was about to leave Flourish and Blotts with Harry and Ron, Draco, who was standing on the second floor, came down.

"Oh~ Isn't this the famous Harry Potter? Didn't Lockhart ask you to take a picture together?" The platinum young master seemed to automatically switch to mocking mode whenever he encountered Harry.

"Draco~" I stood between Draco and Harry with a grin.

"Senior Ayers." Although Draco was very unhappy with Harry and the others, he still responded when I called his name.

"How was your holiday?" I asked with a smile.

"I'm doing pretty well." After all, I'm not the little lion of Gryffindor, I'm the viper of Slytherin, and Draco was still quite friendly as he chatted with me.

“Alright, Draco.” As we were having a pleasant conversation, Lucius gently patted Draco’s shoulder with his scepter.

Draco could only walk to the side, and Lucius walked up to him.

“Ayers Hall, it’s been a long time,” Lucius greeted me with a smile.

“Mr. Lucius Malfoy, it’s been a long time.” We both extended our hands and shook hands in a friendly manner.

After we greeted each other, Lucius looked towards Harry's direction.

"So you must be Mr. Harry Potter. I am Lucius Malfoy. It's a pleasure to meet you." Lucius extended his hand and shook hands with Harry.

"Please forgive me." Suddenly, Lucius pulled Harry in front of him, took his scepter, and gently lifted Harry's chin, staring intently at his face.

“You are a legend, and so is the one who spared your life,” Lucius said to Harry with a smile.

“He killed my parents, he’s just a murderer.” Harry released Lucius’s hand and took a step back.

"You dare to say that about him? That's quite bold, or rather, foolish." Lucius initially looked at Harry seriously, but then gave him a mocking look.

"Those who fear him and dare not mention him will only fear him more." Hermione, who was supposed to be waiting for autographs with Mrs. Weasley, somehow ended up with us.

“You must be, Miss Granger.” Lucius looked at Hermione, who had interrupted his conversation with Harry.

“That’s right, Draco mentioned you, and your parents.” Lucius looked at Hermione with a meaningful gaze. Hermione felt uneasy under his gaze and turned to look at her parents who were buying books for her.

"We're all Muggles, right?" Lucius was being incredibly sarcastic, pointing out that Draco had only learned about 5% of it.

“Let me guess, red hair, expressionless faces, tattered secondhand textbooks, you must be the Weasleys.” Lucius picked up a book from Ginny’s cauldron and looked at the Weasleys with a mocking expression.

When Gemini and Percy saw that we hadn't come to them for a long time, they returned to Flourish and Blotts and saw us talking to Lucius. Curious, they walked up behind us.

“Mr. Malfoy, don’t you think what you just said was a bit rude? Also, what you’re holding isn’t a textbook, it’s my first-year study notes that I gave to Ginny. It records my excellent learning and understanding.” I took a step forward, smiling at Lucius in front of me, and held out my hand for Lucius to return the notebook to me. Now that Riddle’s Horcrux is gone, all he’s returning is the notebook.

"And, does Riddle know what you're all talking about him?" You dare talk about Riddle in front of me? Ha! Next time I'll tell Riddle that people are talking about him as a murderer.

I don't even know who told Harry that his parents died at Riddle's hands. As the person who saved them, I had no idea that such a thing happened.

Of course, now is not the time to tell Harry the truth.

"Let's go, Draco." Lucius could tell that my words had a hidden meaning, but he didn't understand what I meant. He just glanced at me a couple more times and turned to leave.

"See you at school." Draco said to Harry defiantly again as his father was about to leave.

A group of us watched the Malfoys leave.

"Ayers~ Let's go, we've kept Cedric and Oliver waiting." Seeing the Malfoy father and son leave, Fred immediately came over to me again.

“That’s right, let’s hurry and find them.” George also leaned on my other shoulder.

"Alright, let's go. You should be able to collect the Nimbus 2000 reward you received." I said with a smile, revealing some exciting news.

"Is this true?" Fred immediately straightened up, no longer limp.

"Oh ho~" George also stood up happily.
