Harry Potter: Miss Malfoy

Chapter 216 I will wait for you

Chapter 216 I will wait for you

"Thank you, Arthur."

Just as Draco was about to walk into the courtroom with Harry, a reassuring voice sounded from the dark corridor. (Send love messages, okay??o·(? ??????????? )?o·?)

This was followed by a relieved exclamation from Mr. Weasley.

"Dumbledore? Great! You also received information about the temporary change!"

Seeing Harry turn his head, his eyes lit up with excitement of seeing his savior.

But after the excitement, a vicious black fire flashed in those emerald green eyes.

That was a look in Draco's eyes that Harry had never seen before.

She felt a chill in her heart and couldn't help but squint her eyes.

Until Dumbledore's tall figure slowly approached.

The flickering candlelight on both sides made his long white beard stand out even more in the darkness, adding a white glow to the candlelight and calming Draco's mind.

"I must have missed it."

From his cheerful tone, Dumbledore seemed to be in a very calm mood.

“But, I don’t know why, I misremembered the original time and thought it started at 8 o’clock.

This allowed me to arrive at the Ministry earlier than expected. It was a lucky mistake.”

Dumbledore said this, blinking twice at Harry and Draco with his left eye.

Draco looked at Harry, and in addition to relief, there was also some confusion in his eyes.

The viciousness that did not belong to Harry seemed to pass in a flash.

Seeing Harry's puzzled look, Draco guessed that he had not successfully conveyed his message to Dumbledore.

But no matter what, the powerful principal still found a way to receive the information that Fudge would hold a formal trial in advance.

Suddenly an idea came to my mind.

Could it be that his father also told Severus his advice?

Draco looked at the headmaster suspiciously.

He noticed that for a moment, Dumbledore was also looking at him sharply out of the corner of his eye.

After a brief exchange of glances, Dumbledore's gaze shifted, full of kindness.

But the following words were still full of warnings.

"Arthur, Harry and I will just go in."

Dumbledore said as he looked at Mr. Weasley.

"Leave the rest to me, please rest assured."

When he said "just two people can go in", he seemed to emphasize the tone.

"Of course, of course. Great!"

Mr. Weasley shook Harry's hand somewhat excitedly.

To many people, Dumbledore's presence alone meant that no matter what difficulties lay ahead, there was a good chance of success.

Dumbledore suddenly lowered his voice and warned Mr. Weasley: "Also, don't underestimate that person's suspicion. Please be very careful."

As he spoke, the half-moon shaped lenses flashed with luster.

Draco immediately understood the headmaster's true intention.

"I know. Fudge already suspects that I'm getting too close to you. I'll be careful. Well, Harry, I wish you all the best. I'll get back to work."

Mr. Weasley replied seriously and turned to leave. Dumbledore took over, pulled the iron door, and watched Mr. Weasley leave.

Harry was also excited by Dumbledore's appearance, but immediately felt depressed by his words.

Dumbledore's implication was obviously that he did not want Draco to accompany him to trial.

While Dumbledore was speaking, Draco had already let go of his hand and stood quietly aside.

Somehow, this made Harry inexplicably angry.

He looked towards Dumbledore and found that the headmaster was just looking ahead indifferently, as if he didn't want to look at his current situation at all.

The flame that was originally burning faintly in the chest suddenly burned up and steamed.

I couldn't explain why I felt so angry towards this principal who had always cared about me.

Harry's breathing was ragged and his chest heaved.

He tried to sort out his emotions in his mind and convince himself that this unreasonable anger must be because Dumbledore had kept him in the dark for the entire summer vacation.

Doing so only fanned the flames in his chest even more.

Now it sounds like, aside from the Order of the Phoenix matter, Dumbledore clearly knew that the hearing had been changed to a formal trial.

He might even have known that the trial would be postponed at the last minute, but he was unwilling to tell me even that.

Not to mention, until now, he had denied himself the opportunity to have Draco accompany him to the trial.

The tension of facing the trial mixed with anger made Harry feel as if his heart was under a gluttony curse.

Perhaps seeing the emotion written on Harry's face, Draco reached out and patted his shoulder gently.

Under the cloak, which Harry couldn't see, Draco's pretty face flushed.

"Come on, don't be angry."

She suppressed her shyness about having to let Dumbledore see her intimate behavior, and said in a breathy voice: "I... maybe I can wait for you here?"

She spoke softly, but the last sentence sounded like she was asking for someone's permission.

Dumbledore glanced at Draco and hesitated for a moment with a serious expression.

After a lot of effort, a smile flashed across his wooden eyes and he nodded slowly.

Draco was relieved, stood on tiptoe, and whispered in Harry's ear: "Go quickly, I'll wait for you here."

I shook Harry's hand and felt the cold sweat on his face due to nervousness.

Harry took a deep breath and stepped into the trial.

As the iron gate opened, a cold wind blew in my face, extinguishing my anger.

In fact, Draco didn't need to remind him.

The solemn atmosphere in the courtroom instantly drowned out his anger and anxiety.

Dumbledore followed Harry in, pausing as he passed Draco.

At that moment, Draco heard the Headmaster's soft voice in his mind.

"Thank you, Miss Malfoy."

After the voice passed, the iron door slammed shut.

There was a loud bang, and the sound of steel colliding continued.

Draco was left standing alone outside the door.

Although Lucius repeatedly stated that the trial would go smoothly, it was still unsettling before the official results were announced.

In particular, the prison-like environment makes people feel timid.

Draco could only try to digest the anxiety in his heart and leaned against the door silently.
