Chapter 20 The Black Widow's Hospitality
Chapter 20 The Black Widow's Hospitality
......
"Coo coo coo coo..."
Upon hearing the word "eat," Little Wukong's stomach immediately growled.
Last night's battle had exhausted him.
In addition, he had fallen asleep without eating dinner, and now it was breakfast time, so he was indeed hungry.
And it's the kind of hunger that's so intense it feels like your stomach is glued to your back.
"Thank you, Auntie, you're such a kind person!"
"What an innocent child!"
Looking into Little Wukong's innocent big eyes, Black Widow couldn't help but sigh inwardly.
But this did not affect her carrying out her mission, and she felt it was for the good of the children.
"Find him some clothes to wear, get him some food, and ask the search team if they've seen a red stick or a stone ball."
Black Widow quickly gave instructions to the two S.H.I.E.L.D. agents and then led Little Goku to the makeshift tent next to them.
"Child, what's your name? How old are you?"
Once inside the tent, she first poured a glass of water for Little Wukong, then covered him with an adult's coat before starting to extract information.
Little Wukong drank the water in the cup in one gulp and replied very politely:
"My name is Sun Wukong, and I am twelve years old."
The Chinese people's names and appearances were also more Asian, which was pretty much what she had guessed.
Black Widow smiled and continued to ask:
"What's this research institute you just mentioned? Are they all bad people?"
"Yes, very, very bad people. Aunt Gabriella said they were doing mutant experiments and training mutant children to be killers."
"They were the ones who sent people to hunt us down before."
When Little Goku saw a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent bring him a plate of fried chicken and hamburgers, his mouth immediately watered, and he began to wolf them down.
"Mutant experiments...it turns out that giant ape and this child are both mutants!"
Black Widow was surprised, but not entirely surprised, upon hearing this.
Surprisingly, the mutants who disappeared for so many years have now reappeared.
The reason why it's not so surprising is that, since they are mutants, the great ape's strength is understandable.
As a top agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., she was well aware of most of the intelligence about mutants.
She knew that mutants who reached level four had the potential to wipe out all of humanity.
"Is there anything else?"
After finishing off the fried chicken and burger on his plate, and having filled less than one-twentieth of his stomach, Goku looked at Black Widow with his big, bright black eyes.
For some reason, he felt unusually hungry today.
"They can really eat. This is enough for two adults. They really are mutants; their appetites are extraordinary."
Black Widow instructed the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent:
"Go and make some more."
While waiting for the food, she continued to try to get information out of him:
Do you know where that research is located?
First, find out the location of the research institute, then immediately have Hawkeye take you there to prevent the people at the institute from running away.
After all, more than eight hours have passed since the giant ape disappeared.
If the people at the research institute had a strong sense of crisis, they might have already evacuated.
Then the trail will go cold again.
"I don't know, only Aunt Gabriela knows."
Little Wukong shook his head. If he knew the location of the research institute, he would have gone there and destroyed it long ago.
Black Widow frowned, but still patiently asked:
"You just mentioned Aunt Gabriella, who is she? Do you know where she is now?"
"Aunt Gabriella was a nurse at that research institute. She led Laura and the others out of the institute."
Later they got separated, and I was supposed to escort Aunt Gabriella and Laura to find their lost companions.
We were attacked by the research institute halfway there. That old man called Magneto was really powerful. I fought him for a long time.
I don't know how I finally fell asleep.
Little Goku tilted his head, still wondering how he had fallen asleep halfway through the fight. Could it be that the old man, like Jackie Chan, knew the Ghost Child Sleep-Sleep Fist?
During the World Martial Arts Tournament, he competed for the championship with Jackie Chan. Jackie Chan once used a move called "Ghost Child Sleepy Fist" to put him to sleep instantly.
"So I don't know where Aunt Gabriela and the others are right now."
"What did you say? Magneto is the one chasing you!"
Black Widow jumped up from the stool, her face full of disbelief.
According to S.H.I.E.L.D. data, Magneto, a Level 4 mutant, should have died 35 years ago, killed by Professor X's out-of-control psychic abilities.
"Well... that's what Professor A.S. and Uncle Logan call him, but Magneto says he's not Magneto."
Magneto...what a strange name, just as strange as Bulma's.
When Little Goku saw the S.H.I.E.L.D. agent carrying a large amount of food into the tent, he immediately got back to work with great enthusiasm.
"And then there's Professor X and Wolverine. Things seem more complicated than I thought."
While Goku was eating, Black Widow went outside the tent and called Nick Fury.
"Chief, I have important intelligence to report to you..."
"That makes sense now. John just reported some information to me as well..."
On the other end of the phone, Nick Fury wasn't too surprised by the information Black Widow had obtained.
Because just before that, senior agent John Garrett had called him.
It is said that while assisting in the investigation of clues about the giant ape, they discovered an agent who betrayed S.H.I.E.L.D., codenamed "Stick Bug".
Originally tasked with monitoring Wolverine and Professor X, Stick Worm was bribed by Dr. Rice, the owner of Rice Corporation, to assist him in conducting genetic experiments on mutants.
He also used his position to help Dr. Rice establish a base near Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico.
"Natasha, leave the investigation of the giant ape clues to John. You take that boy named Sun Wukong to Pinion now."
We've already detected that Wolverine and Professor X are both there.
Professor X's condition is still unstable...
John was in charge of this area, and the presence of a traitor among his subordinates angered him greatly. He strongly demanded to personally arrest the traitor, and John couldn't refuse.
Natasha is exceptionally talented in psychology, adept at persuasion, and possesses a striking appearance, making her well-suited for the mission of bringing back Wolverine and Professor X.
"clear!"
Black Widow had no objection to the director's order to change her mission.
No matter what the task is, she will do her best to complete it.
The reason she chose to join S.H.I.E.L.D. was to make up for the mistakes she made in the Red Room and to atone for them.
So she doesn't care about money or power at all.
After hanging up the phone, she turned and walked into the tent. Seeing that the food she had just piled up had all disappeared, Black Widow couldn't help but marvel again at how much the boy could eat.
Keep in mind that those high-calorie foods were enough for dozens of adults.
