Krillin and Gohan carried Shangyun as they flew towards Master Roshi's Island. Shangyun was awakened by the biting cold wind and asked Krillin what was going on. Krillin told Shangyun that Goku had decided to fight Vegeta alone and that they should go back to Master Roshi's Island first.
"No! Vegeta is too powerful. Even Goku might not be his match. If we go over there, we might be able to help him," Shang Yun suggested. Vegeta stared intently at the artificial moon, his body undergoing a dramatic transformation, instantly becoming a giant ape as majestic as a mountain. His body seemed capable of filling the entire valley. Surprisingly, he did not lose his mind after transforming; instead, his eyes flashed with an even more ferocious light, as if he wanted to turn everything in front of him to ashes. That light was like will-o'-the-wisps from hell, sending chills down one's spine.
"Ha!" Vegeta opened his giant mouth, which contained a huge ball of energy, and roared as he launched an energy wave at Goku.
"Kamehameha!" Goku quickly unleashed a Kamehameha to meet Vegeta's energy wave.
However, Goku soon found himself in dire straits. Vegeta transformed into a Great Ape, and his power increased exponentially, gradually pushing energy waves toward Goku.
"Quadruple Kaio Fist!"
Goku roared, quadrupling the power of his Kaioken technique, and unleashed an energy wave at Vegeta. Vegeta was startled and struck by the combined energy. However, Vegeta only suffered a slight disturbance in his breathing and was not seriously injured. But after using the four-times-powered Kaioken, Goku was exhausted and could only barely stand, unable to maintain the Kaioken's power any longer.

Vegeta let out a painful roar, covering his eyes with his hands. His voice was like that of a wounded beast howling. He angrily grabbed Goku again and roared, "I'm going to crush you into powder! You'll pay a terrible price for your offense today! You'll regret your ignorance and arrogance!"
At this moment, Shang Yun, Krillin, and Son Gohan arrived. The three landed on a hilltop not far away, and Shang Yun quickly sat down cross-legged to recover his inner energy.
When they arrived, they witnessed Goku being cruelly tortured by Vegeta. Their hearts were immediately filled with resentment and anger, an anger that seemed to set their chests ablaze, like a raging fire burning in their hearts.
Krillin knew that Vegeta's weakness was his tail, so he quietly circled around to the hill behind Vegeta and unleashed his Destructo Slash without hesitation.
