Chapter 133: Racist elves
Chapter 133: Racist elves
Ray was blinded; only darkness was in his eyes. His magic too couldn’t do anything. With his body frozen too, he just waited.
Orcus had a new owner; he could feel their relationship completely broken. He counted the weapon as a friend one time, but a weapon’s goal was to kill, not to make friends.
He could talk, but his ears didn’t hear his own voice: "I’m in a void, or they really fucked up my brain."
Not wasting more energy, he waited for something to happen. After a time that felt like an eternity, magic scanned through his body.
"I’m not stupid enough to come here unprepared." The only thing that Ray had in his possession that could be worth anything to another civilization with that much advancement was his pure magic.
Its amount was low, so it probably wasn’t worth the try to come to earth and get him out, so they had simply put up a trap to get him out.
With that in mind, Ray had put barriers in his magic; if someone wanted to take magic out of his body by force, it would explode, killing him in the process. Even if they mimiced all the traces of his mind to act like he was satisfied, another switch would turn on that would kill him too.
"Instead of that, how about some negotiations?" Ray was sure that they understood him on the planet; he was in a hurry, so he didn’t mind how he communicated with the aliens.
The unknown magic continued its work, and Ray received no answer.
"I just want your help with crafting a specific weapon; in return, I have already given you Orcus, and I will let you have my pure magic for a whole year." He thought for a few seconds. "And the formula for pierce magic and anti-healing is on the table too; I would trade one year for each of them."
Their work on the locks in his body continued. Ray didn’t know how, but the person who controlled the magic was on another league compared to him in magic control. With that much efficiency and precision, he could cut the process of crafting by a few more crystals.
"Incredible! You are splitting magic constantly into smaller parts, and for a small time window as they split and want to connect again, you do your job, yet the time is less than nanoseconds!" After hours of being exposed to the magic, Ray finally released how it worked.
"Wrong human, but I admire your eyes as a lesser being." The voice belonged to a machine, probably a translator.
Ray laughed, "As a higher being, you should have already understood that it can’t be broken."
"Who taught it to you? This is clearly not on the abilities of a human."
"That parasite inside my body had something like this instead of his body that stopped me from attacking it from inside. I couldn’t do the same, so with some changes I made, it can fulfill my goal anyway." Ray licked his lips. "And this should be your magic, that I’m talking too much?"
"Just saying what’s on your mind; you lesser beings have your way of words."
"Then you are a racist fuck, but I’m just a normal fuck. So why don’t we work together?"
Tired of the stupid voice behind the machine Ray let the magic try whatever it wanted as he tried to sleep.
"What do you want?"
Ray smiled to the direction that the voice came from; his senses returned as an infinite version of himself was in the mirror walls. The whole room was made out of mirrors, and the only source of light was a moving worm in the air.
"So since you can make rifts, that means you can take me to whatever in the universe, right? I want you to take me to a dying star and keep me alive at the center of it for a day, and I will exchange all of my pure magic for a year." The offer was fair in Ray’s mind; it was not that he could use the pure magic for anything really.
After a few minutes of silence, the machine voice started to talk: "We can simulate that disaster in our own spaceship, enough for you?"
Ray looked at his own face with a poker face; he had thought of any way possible on earth to do it, but for them it seemed like a normal experiment. Anyhow, that was not going to be for him.
"No, that’s impure."
"Well, someone will come in minutes and will take you where you want, and in exchange you transfer the right of your pure magic to them."
Ray felt kind of disappointed. "You are not going to give me a tour of your spaceship?"
"Refused, wait."
He sat on the ground; the travel was definitely more boring than what he had anticipated. Clearing his head on head, he focused on the steps he had to take.
Counting seconds since the first he had arrived, based on earth it been only 3 hours but god knew how much on earth had passed.
After another half an hour, from one of the mirrors, a figure stepped inside his prison; just like the previous one he had met, that one had full armor with different machines floating behind its back and a silver mask covering its whole face.
"Get ready, human; I don’t have time." The sounds coming out of the mask were so feminine, yet the body didn’t have female looks.
Ray stood up. "This might be hard for you, but I’m not human; my name is Blood Angel."
"Don’t talk too much, human; follow me." In a blink, a rift opened between them, with the elf stepping inside of it. Heat and immense energy came out from the door to another part of the universe.
For a second he hesitated, but he had no other choice for the moment. "Let’s see a dying star from up close."
