Lin Xuan Qi did the same at the factory in the east and things went smoothly without too much of a hiccup.
After he was done, he went over to the store for the franchise to check on the progress of the refurnishing and it was going according to plan.
It wouldn’t be too long for it to be operational.
He wanted to pay Sima Long, Liu Shao, and Hun Xiong Kun a visit but decided to go back to the mansion for lunch instead.
Xue Cong and the others were happy to see him back at the mansion when they saw him.
"Here, have some of the chicken meat." Xue Cong picked up some of it and put it into his bowl of rice.
Yue Jie also did the same while Yue Xin poured a cup of tea for him.
Liu Shi Shi didn’t join in but she sat where she was, quietly enjoying the warm atmosphere in the dining hall.
"Master Lin is living the perfect life." Lee He Song chuckled and said, seeing how Lin Xuan Qi was living the life that many would die for.
Having a wife and three concubines, four businesses and getting much more famous in Hong Feng City in such a short span of time, would be a dream come true for many in the Da Qian Dynasty.
"You are flattering me, Master Lee." Lin Xuan Qi said while he enjoyed the attention on him from Xue Cong and the others.
Zhi Yong agreed with Lee He Song and said, "Master Lin, good man, happy man."
"When did you learn to have such a glib tongue?" Lin Xuan Qi shook his head and gave a smile at Zhi Yong.
He recalled the maid who was getting close to Zhi Yong but he hadn’t seen them together for a while. That made him wonder for a moment but he kept quiet about it.
Best for him to let nature take its course.
"Master Lin, there are visitors requesting a visit." A guard came into the dining hall, cupped his hands at Lin Xuan Qi and said.
"Visitors?" Lin Xuan Qi mumbled to himself.
Xue Cong gave him the answer in the next moment, "Must be those young masters asking to meet with you."
She had to deal with them for the past few days so she knew.
Lin Xuan Qi sighed and decided that he would have to face them one of these days, so he might as well do it at that moment.
"Get them into the main hall and wait for me."
"Yes, Master Lin." The guard said and headed for the gates.
Lin Xuan Qi took his time and finished his meal before he met the visitors in the main hall.
When he got there, thirty young masters were waiting for him there.
Among them, some were marveling at the paintings hung on the walls and the others were either checking out the huge compound of the mansion or seated in their seats, sipping their tea.
"Master Lin! Finally, we get to see you."
"It’s such an honor to meet you."
"You look as dashing as they said you were."
The young masters stood up or turned around at him to greet him.
Master Lin cupped his hands at them and said, "I’ve been very busy lately so you might have missed me for the past few days."
"We understand." One of them stood forward and said.
He went on and introduced the other young masters to Lin Xuan Qi.
"Pleased to meet you, Master Hong..."
"Pleased to meet you, Master Lee..."
"Pleased to meet you, Master Chee..."
Lin Xuan Qi gave them a smile and he exchanged greetings with them.
After they were done, the man who introduced them, Chew, went on and said, "I think you are aware of why we’ve come."
"Yes I do, Master Chew." Lin Xuan Qi nodded his head and said.
"We are more than willing to join the franchise under the terms you’ve given us." Master Chew said and Lin Xuan Qi pondered on it.
"I know that you are eager to do so, but I would want to make sure that things work for everyone before I expand so quickly.
"The first few stores would be operational soon, it would be better if you wait and see how the business would be, before you make the decision."
Master Chew lowered his head, thought for a moment before he glanced at the others.
The rest of them shook their heads at him.
It was a rare chance for them to be doing something that would make them useful in front of their elders and they didn’t want to be behind on it.
Lin Xuan Qi saw their expressions and he gave them an alternative.
"Xiu, get them to bring one of the food carts over here." He glanced over at Xiu and said.
Xiu nodded her head and got to it immediately.
It didn’t take long for the servants to wheel the food cart into the main hall.
"Master Lin, this is..." Young master Chew pointed at the food cart and asked.
"If you want to, you can start with this instead of starting with a store." Lin Xuan Qi said and he gestured for the servants to show them how the food cart is operated.
The servants did so, and a bowl of rice noodles soup was done quickly.
"I can offer a lower franchise fee for those who want to join with these food carts." Lin Xuan Qi said.
It would also help with his budget for him to purchase the stores for Sima Long and the others, which amounted to twenty-three.
That would take up a huge amount of what he had with his two hundred and ninety taels of gold left.
However, the young masters weren’t too impressed.
They chattered among themselves before young master Chew stepped forward again.
"Thank you so much for the offer. But most of us here aren’t too interested in operating the food carts for now." He said with an awkward smile on his face, fearing that it would anger Lin Xuan Qi.
