"but."
Zhou Ye then changed the subject.
"There are some things that need to be taken care of."
He looked at Nami and Saeko Busujima.
"Nami, you, Saeko Busujima, and Jill go to the underground research facility together."
He raised his hand. The massive T-100 Talking Tom vehicle began to move, emitting a mechanical roar. The Gatling gun muzzle slowly rotated, pointing towards the passage leading into the mansion.
"The T-100 tank will provide cover for you. It's very efficient at dealing with the zombies and biological weapons that haven't died yet along the way."
Saeko Busujima frowned. She had assumed Zhou Ye would go with them, or that powerful Venom Hanged Man would go instead.
"Is there anything else that needs to be addressed?"
She asked, a hint of confusion in her voice. "What could be more important than saving lives? More important than evacuating before the mansion self-destructs?"
Zhou Ye didn't answer directly. He snapped his fingers.
[Fragment of the Herrscher of the Void] ability activated.
A barely perceptible ripple appeared in the air. A thin laptop materialized in Zhou Ye's hand. Its black casing featured strange, out-of-this-era interfaces.
[T-101 Venom Hanged Man] seemed to have received some kind of command. Its massive body slowly knelt down, and the black biological matter wriggled and deformed, forming a relatively flat "tablet" on its back.
Zhou Ye walked over to the T-101 and placed his laptop on the table formed by its back. He sat down and placed his fingers on the keyboard.
"I will open my laptop."
Zhou Ye said that his voice wasn't loud, but everyone could hear him clearly.
"Use hacking techniques to erase the combat footage of us appearing here."
He looked up at the ceiling. There were hidden cameras there. The arena, the mansion interior—Umbrella's surveillance was everywhere.
"Cut off the data link with Umbrella Corporation behind us."
Zhou Ye continued.
"Destroy as much as you can."
He typed on the keyboard, and lines of code and strange symbols began to appear on the screen.
"otherwise……"
Zhou Ye paused for a moment, his tone becoming serious.
"Otherwise, once we leave the mansion and return to Raccoon City, what awaits us is not a narrow escape from death, but another predicament—Umbrella's revenge."
Nami understood. She was a smart woman. They had caused such a commotion here, using weapons and monsters that Umbrella had never even heard of. If this data were transmitted back to Umbrella headquarters, they would immediately become Umbrella's number one target. The power of that multinational corporation was something they couldn't possibly contend with at their current level.
She and Zhou Ye are not from the instance world, but they will still be attacked by Umbrella before they leave this world.
Jill understood; she knew that if Umbrella's massive multinational corporation set its sights on her, it would be an endless pursuit.
Saeko Busujima understood Zhou Ye's meaning; his decision was rational. They didn't want to leave this mansion hell, only to return to Raccoon City and continue the fierce battle, especially being hunted by an Umbrella.
"clear."
Nami said it bluntly.
"We're going to the underground research institute."
"Cover yourselves."
Zhou Ye didn't even look up, his fingers rapidly tapping on the keyboard. "The self-destruct program has been activated. I wonder what else will be released."
"The T-100 tank will follow you."
"receive."
"Jill answered. She glanced at Zhou Ye, then at the T-100 Talking Tom tank and the T-101 Hanged Man. These things were beyond her imagination. But at this moment, they were her and her teammates' only hope."
"Let's go."
"Saeko Busujima said, her eyes gleaming with excitement. The underground research facility, the tyrant. A new adversary."
Nami, Gilgamesh, and Saeko Busujima turned and ran towards the passage leading into the mansion.
The T-100 Talking Tom vehicle roared even louder as its massive body followed behind the three. It knelt, and eerie blue energy emanating from its legs activated tracks, grinding against the metal ground with a creaking sound. Its electronic thermal radar hovered above it, while its Gatling gun barrel and RPG rockets remained in a state of alert.
Zhou Ye sat on the back of the T-101 Hanged Man, the light from the screen reflecting on his face.
His fingers flew across the keyboard.
"Umbrella's data system... hopefully it won't be too difficult to handle."
"These days, who doesn't have a side hustle?"
"For example... part-time hacking or something."
"[Herrscher of Reason Fragment + Talking Tom Fragment] Activated, come on, let's have a go!"
He stared at the screen and began the intrusion.
Chapter 34 Who exactly are you?
The cold, damp passageway stretched forward.
Nami, Jill, and Saeko Busujima followed closely behind the T-100 Talking Tom tank.
The tank's massive metal body almost filled the entire width of the passageway, and its tracks made a dull creaking sound as they rolled over the ground, which was particularly jarring in the deathly silence.
Around the corner ahead, several zombies dressed in tattered research suits staggered and lunged forward, letting out hoarse roars.
They didn't even come into full view of the three of them.
【Da da da!】
The six-barreled Gatling gun on top of the T-100 Talking Tom tank spews flames without needing to rotate much.
Several bullets precisely tore through the air, instantly blasting the heads of the zombies apart.
Blood and bits of flesh splattered on the cold metal wall, leaving several unsightly marks.
The chariot did not even pause, continuing to move forward at a constant speed.
The entire process was clean, efficient, and chillingly effective.
Jill gripped the shotgun tightly, her knuckles tightening.
She knew very well that even the lowest-level zombies required concentration and quick action when they suddenly appeared at close range.
But now...
These things are no different from paper in front of this tank.
【Da da da da!】
Another burst of short bursts of fire.
Something trying to climb out of a ventilation duct on the side of the passage was instantly smashed into a puddle of mud.
Jill didn't even see what it was.
Saeko Busujima rested her hand on the hilt of her sword, her steps unhurried.
Her attention was mostly focused on the tank that kept firing.
Her eyes were sharp, as if she were assessing a formidable opponent.
"This thing..."
Saeko Busujima turned her head to look at Jill beside her, and said in a low voice, "Looks like we don't need to reload?"
Jill nodded, her brows furrowing slightly.
"more than."
Her gaze swept over the six dark gun barrels of the tank.
“It has been fired at least several thousand times since the arena, and there is no sign of the barrel overheating.”
Even with a cooling system, this kind of sustained high-intensity firepower output is just too exaggerated.
Not to mention the almost unlimited ammunition.
This is completely inconsistent with the principles of existing weapons.
Saeko Busujima licked her lips.
"Zhou Ye, and Nami Tohsaka..."
She didn't continue, but her meaning was clear.
Jill nodded.
The things they brought out and the abilities they used were beyond their comprehension.
This is definitely not Umbrella's technology.
Although Umbrella is evil, Jill knows a little about their bio-weapons, which follow the law of conservation of energy.
Zombies, zombie dogs, hunters... those things are terrifying, but still within the realm of understanding.
But Zhou Ye's "toys" are more like... the power of another system.
"This level of firepower, and that bizarre spatial teleportation ability..." Jill quickly analyzed in her mind.
"Who exactly is he? That companion named Nami also seems to be quite extraordinary; she seems to take all of this for granted."
"Unlimited ammo? The barrel doesn't even heat up? This is even more absurd than a demon's Blood Demon Art." *Saeko Busujima was also pondering this.
"That Zhou Ye, what is his purpose in creating these things? The aura around him is strange, unlike that of an ordinary person, or a swordsman from the Demon Slayer Corps..."
A fork in the road appears ahead.
The T-100 tank stopped, its electronic eyes flashing red, seemingly analyzing the route.
Taking advantage of this brief moment, Saeko Busujima suddenly looked at Nami.
Nami was examining the Umbrella symbol gem on the wall with great interest, seemingly estimating its value.
