Chapter 6 Transactions - 2
Chapter 6 Transactions - 2
Vega did not reveal the information about the amulet and potion in advance. Mr. Bond brought Imhotep's shield to New York and wanted to trade with him in advance, probably hoping to exchange it for something else.
But now that he's chosen to trade the Holy Shield for the amulet and potions, Vega isn't interested in asking any questions, since the Holy Shield is about to become his property anyway.
We had just seen Mr. Bond off when Ms. Eiffel Tower arrived.
Unable to offer anything to Vega, the Eiffel Tower woman, unwilling to give up, produced a map of the African continent, allowing Vega to draw circles on it at will.
Vega was taken aback by her extravagant offer, but he still refused without hesitation.
Vega believed that even if he divided hundreds of thousands of square kilometers of land on a map, the country behind the Eiffel Tower could legally make that land his own.
However, being able to legally own something does not mean that you can actually get it smoothly.
Even if he could get his hands on it, he wouldn't want it, because the land was useless to him and would only be a huge problem.
After seeing off Ms. Eiffel Tower, before he could even have a sip of water, Mr. Vodka arrived, bringing with him a piece of deadwood that could make plants within a kilometer radius grow rapidly.
This piece of dead wood was obviously not suitable for exchanging for amulets and potions, and Mr. Vodka understood this as well. His target was not those two items, but rather the things that Vega had been auctioning off.
After spending half an hour negotiating the types and quantities of items to be exchanged at the dinner table, Vega opened his alternate dimension, took out the items, and completed the transaction on the spot.
"Phew~, those Russians can really drink." Vega picked up his teacup and downed three cups in a row, then looked at the beautiful woman sitting opposite him and asked in Mandarin with a Hebei accent, "Why are you the one who came this time?"
With her long, black hair cascading over her shoulders and her shapely figure clad in a form-fitting silver armor, the weather witch Ji Xin'er smiled and replied, "The director has something to attend to. There are many items to be traded this time, so I came."
Vega: "Do you want amulets and potions? I really like the shield the English brought; I don't think you'll find anything better."
Upon hearing this, Ji Xin'er frowned. Looking at the shield on the coffee table, she asked, "Is this Imhotep's Holy Shield?"
"That's what the British said, and I've checked and am fairly certain it's true." Vega nodded, then asked, "Is Imhotep's spear with you?"
Ji Xin'er: "The spear is in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands, shouldn't the shield be in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands too?"
Vega repeated Mr. Bond's account of the Brotherhood of the Shield's origins, then asked, "When did the Brotherhood of the Shield disappear?"
Ji Xin'er: "On June 11, 1956, the Immortal City, located beneath Rome by the Brotherhood of the Shield, was destroyed by an explosion and turned into ruins."
Howard Stark, who survived, informed us that the Brotherhood of the Shield had suffered an internal conflict, everyone except him died, and then he founded S.H.I.E.L.D.
"At that time, S.H.I.E.L.D. was in a slump and had no ability to verify the authenticity of the news. Then came the Cold War. They finally waited for the Cold War to end, but then Howard died in an accident."
"We tested Peggy Carter, Alexander Pierce, Nick Fury, and Tony Stark, and none of them knew about the Brotherhood of the Shield or who humanity's true enemy was."
"56 years..." Vega fell into deep thought. This time coincides with the time when the Brotherhood of the Shield broke out in the S.H.I.E.L.D. comic. Could this world be an extension of the S.H.I.E.L.D. comic?
The world of The Legend of the Shield is far more dangerous than the movie world, and the two comics only cover up to the end of the Brotherhood of the Shield's civil war in 56, leaving nothing to do with what happened afterward.
Vega had no idea how the world would develop, and his "prophetic" advantage was practically nonexistent.
However, there is some good news: if it is indeed the world of "The Legend of the Aegis," then there are no Celestials descendants being conceived on Earth or in the Sun.
Vega: "Where are the Star Children of the Sun now?"
"You even know this kind of information?" Ji Xin'er was very surprised. The descendants of the gods and the children of the stars are top-secret information. Now, apart from the Divine Spear Bureau, maybe only the Chinese high-level officials and the British royal family know about it. How did Vega find out?
Vega did not answer, and Ji Xin'er did not press further. She said, "After Leonardo da Vinci flew toward the sun in 1503, we have never seen him again."
Vega thought for a moment and asked, "May I see the information passed down by S.H.I.E.L.D. related to the Brotherhood of the Shield and the Celestials? I can exchange one amulet for it."
Ji Xin'er: "I can't make that decision. I'll pass on your request to the director, and you two can discuss it."
Vega: "Thank you."
After exchanging information, the two began their transaction. Ji Xin'er brought many precious extraordinary materials, some for the transaction and others for Vega to craft into magical items.
After seeing the weather witch off, Vega began to receive Mr. White.
Mr. White wasn't interested in the amulet; the Secret Service would protect the President. He inquired about the exchange requirements for the potions, but found the price too high and gave up, exchanging gold for some ordinary potions, battle dolls, enchanted orbs, and magical items.
Next, representatives from other countries and families were entertained. These people had very small trading volumes, and none of them could offer anything that would satisfy Vega in exchange for the amulets and potions.
As punishment, S.H.I.E.L.D. was relegated to the bottom of the list, and Vega canceled the normal deal.
Upon hearing that their eligibility for a regular transaction had been revoked, Coulson panicked: "Lee, these things are very important to us. Without their help, we will sacrifice a lot of agents."
Vega: "Don't play the victim with me. If you break the rules, you have to accept the punishment. There's no room for negotiation on this."
"Supernatural events don't happen every day. You've stockpiled enough for you to use for a long time. Now tell me, old black slave, what do you want in exchange for the potion?"
When dealing with these people, you have to follow the rules, otherwise these heartless guys can sell you out and make you thank them.
Seeing Vega's resolute attitude, Coulson knew that no matter what he said, Vega would not change his mind. He sighed and revealed S.H.I.E.L.D.'s bargaining chip.
Just as Vega had expected, Nick Fury wasn't going to make him any more difficult to deal with; he actually wanted to exchange some extraordinary materials and US dollars for the potion.
Vega was so angry he laughed. Did Nick Fury think he was a philanthropist or a fool?
